There are several ways to increase traffic to your website. The main and best way is by making backlinks in known community mainly like forums. The other best way is by being indexed by Google or any other search engine on the web. Being indexed is not always easy because there's a lot of known website on the web taking high place on search results and here comes keywords.

Backlinks are links coming from another website that is leading back to your own, they are aslo called incoming links. Some search engine use them as an indicator of the popularity of a website.

Forums are a great way to get your website known around the web, look for a very good well established forum with a lot of members and start chatting around with people. You can put a link to your website in your signature or share it with other users, but don't spam the forum because it is very stupid and won't even give any popularity to your website since you're a spammer!

Using youtube is another smart way to popularize your website on the internet, make a video about whatever you like and put a link into the description. A video with keywords that you know people will be looking for daily like artist names, money subject, everybody on the net is looking to make money right? You could create an interesting video in relation with your website so the people passing by will maybe get interested in more and will look forward to your website. Traffic is the key to success, it is what every webmaster is looking for, even me, because it is what makes their website, a successful website.
